Privacy Policy

Effective July 2026. This policy covers the Giga Terminal desktop app and the gigaterminal.app website. The short version: the app is local-first and sends nothing; the site collects almost nothing.

The desktop app. Giga Terminal stores your code, terminal history, board tasks, agent configurations, and API keys on your machine. None of that data is transmitted to us. The app contains no telemetry, no analytics, and no crash reporting. API keys are encrypted on your device and sent only to the providers you configure.

Agents and providers. When you run a coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, GigaCode, or others), your prompts and code go directly from your machine to the provider you configured. Those transfers are governed by that provider’s privacy policy, not ours. We are never in the path.

GigaBrowser requests pages directly from the sites you visit, with a built-in filter engine blocking known ad and tracker requests before they load. Browsing history stays on your device.

The website. gigaterminal.app uses no analytics scripts, no advertising trackers, and no third-party cookies. Server logs (IP address, requested page) are retained briefly by our hosting provider for operational purposes.

Accounts and payments (at launch). Signing in uses GitHub or Google OAuth; we receive your name and email address, used only to identify your license. Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Card details never touch our systems. You can request deletion of your account data at any time.

Contact: support@gigaterminal.app. If this policy changes, the change ships in the site changelog with a date.
